Awesome stars collection

Note

The problem

I star a lot of stuff on GitHub. All the time. I see a project I like, I put a star on it. This has led to me accumulating over 1000 starred projects over the years. One might ask, what's the point of it, I can't possibly remember every project i've ever starred! Wouldn't it be nice to be able to rediscover things you starred a long time ago, perhaps find something that's relevant to your current needs?

What can we do?

We'd need a way to aggregate and categorize our starred projects, and make them easy to view and search. Perhaps something like those awesome lists for each language or domain that are abundant on GitHub would do the trick?

How can we do it?

To achieve this, we can use starred. It's a tool to do exactly that - fetch your starred projects on GitHub and organize them by technology, generating a pleasant markdown file to view. It's your own little awesome technologies list.

Taking it further, we can make our own awesome repository and even update it daily with our newest stars using the awesome-stars template. Just create a new repository based on it, change the username and you're off to the races. It uses a github action with a cronjob that updates your stars every day. You can view, search and marvel at your collection of stars, even make use of it!
