Schedule recurring tasks with org-mode and ease
Note
Today i'm going to write a bit about yet another Emacs package - this time it's for scheduling recurring tasks in your org-mode files - org-recur.
Scheduling recurring tasks in regular org-mode falls short when you want specific tasks to occur on specific days of the week, or only on weekdays, or some specific date of each month. Org recur makes that easier with some extra sugar sprinkled on top of the org-schedule functionality.
*** |Mon,Tue,Thu,Fri| 08:45-09:00 Daily standup
*** |+2w| 14:00-15:00 Planning
*** |Tue, Thu| 16:45-17:35 Knowledge sharing
*** |Wkdy| Something very important
And so on. They are also rendered and placed correctly in the agenda. This, combined with the org-recur-finish
function, will schedule and reschedule tasks on the correct days, weeks and months. It works very well.
What it doesn't have and I would really like is to be able to reschedule tasks several times per day, every 3 hours for example.
